RRT Jr Players is an advanced acting troupe for young people who have prior experience in an RRT education program / production, in another arts organization, or at their school.
Opportunities are available for both actors and production crew members.
Young people specifically interested in tech work are encouraged to join since troupe members will build set pieces, gather props, run lights and sound, etc. Those with a specific interest in technical theatre will have more responsibilities on a production crew and may choose not to audition for a part. This season some of RRT’s Mainstage and Landing production members will work with Jr Players technicians.
Actors will audition for roles just as they do for Mainstage and Tabletop shows. All who audition are not guaranteed a part; however, the scripts will be for moderate size casts to accommodate many young actors. Those not cast will have more responsibilities on a production crew.

Fall class / Auditions for the one-act comedy, “When Bad Things Happen to Good Actors” by Ian McWelthy and Jason Pizzarello
A production of The Wizard of Oz gets derailed by missed cues, forgotten lines, a renegade sound board op who refuses to play anything but dinosaur noises. A comedy that proves, when it comes to live theatre, everything that can go wrong, will go wrong, and it will be hilarious.
